Planning a remodel? Don’t forget to protect yourself! Before any work begins, ask ALL contractors and subcontractors for a Certificate of Insurance.

Make sure it includes:

• General Liability Insurance (minimum $1,000,000 recommended)
• Business Auto Insurance
• Workers’ Compensation (whether they have employees or not)
• Professional Liability (if applicable)

The certificate should also name you (or the person on the contract) as an Additional Insured for extra protection.

Taking this step helps you avoid unnecessary risks and ensures everyone on the job is properly insured.
